Thanks Laura! I remember you all talking about the "flip button" where you could change your position in a stock from long to short, (or vise versa). What is IB's name for that trigger? I have not seen them use it in any of their webinars yet... Thanks.
You can flip from several places in IB. They have so many features I am sure I have not explored them all. You can quick flip from Booktrader and the Integrated Stock Window.
Most of the time tho, if I am short say 100 shares, I just enter a buy to cover of 200 shares and voila! I am flipped!
To make the most of the chat room, please read the blog!
This blog exists so that Muddy doesn't have to repeatedly answer the same questions from new readers and chat room members.
Muddy outlines how he screens, selects, and plays stocks. You won't find daily posts on the market. We don't care if the markets are green or red, nor do we post general market commentary. As Loki said in the chat room, "No matter the shade, cash to be made".

Do you guys/girls use the Bundled or Unbundled Pricing Structure at IB? Also, what Market Data choices have you selected?
I think bundled is what we use. We pay .005/share with a $1 min commission (maximum commission is .005 of trade value).
Muddy and I don't use Level 2 so we don't subscribe to any market data.
